Elissa Dynes is an actor, playwright, director, and movement-based performer with an MFA from Rose Bruford College in London and training from the National Theater Institute. Her work explores women’s experiences, political status, and relationships, with a particular interest in creating complex, confident, and unapologetic female characters. Through original plays and feminist adaptations of canonical texts, she challenges traditional narratives and brings new perspectives to the stage.

Alongside her artistic work, Elissa has experience in substitute teaching and leading workshops, sharing her passion for performance and creative collaboration with others. She holds a BA in Theatre and Politics from the University of Dubuque.
